Lesson 4- Avoiding 2 Critical Business Mistakes

Do you feel like you have many skills, knowledge and talents...

....and lots of experience to share....

...yet your current way of doing business is NOT an intelligent use of your time?

This is a huge mistake and trap that trainers make.

Because they don’t grow professionally...

...and personally...
...or holistically...
...or financially...

And some mistakes  I experienced when I began my training business, were so painful.

Painful enough that I wanted to just quit the idea of being a trainer.

There are mistakes trainers make....even the best....when starting training or moving their training business to an online business.

Mistakes like:
-Not charging the right amount for their service or products.
-Not understanding the pricing model of their training.
-Not increasing value for their clients now that they can leverage their skills.
-Putting up content on social media without a strategy.
-Trying to do everything in their business, when outsourcing tasks are a much better use of their time.
-Not planning their work week efficiently and effectively, and end up losing more free time.
-Doing TOO much and getting overwhelmed as a result.

In the NCEP  Personal Trainer Certifications, there are lessons and webinar classes that teach you how to avoid ALL of these mistakes.

And how to pace yourself.

Here are the 2 most common mistakes made by trainers building their business:

1.) Spending too MUCH time planning.
2.) Spending too LITTLE time taking action...the right actions.

It’s important to have a plan.
So long as this plan is created with the right tasks, habits, and course of action.

It’s like a client of yours that struggled to get in shape before they met you.

They came to you to get in shape.

You learn that their “plan” was working out, which you find out later wasn’t happening consistently....

...their “plan” was full of cardio only....

...they cut calories only....

...and they didn’t incorporate any sleep planning or recovery methods.

And they “planned” every 4-6 months to get in shape, planning a new plan.
Hoping each new plan would get them into shape.

Which never did.....

Yet, they were trying SO hard to to get in shape.

Any well trained coach can see why this “planning” didn’t work.

And why the actions this client was taking weren’t action-oriented.

This client is on the brink of quitting.

Because it’s easier to stay in the shape they are in, rather than constantly failing at trying to get in to better shape.

The same can happen when starting your training business.

Enough failures, and too much planning will lead you to staying with how things are because it just works....

...And it feels better than than failing.

How can you avoid this?

We will review your plan and list of actions, break them down, and then discus them with you in a coaching session after Lesson 5.

In LESSON 5, which is the last lesson in this mini course, I will share the greatest challenge EVERY successful trainer has beaten.

It will be the greatest challenge you ever faced or will face when starting....

...but once you beat it, success on your terms will follow.

All successful people in any walk of life will tell you at one point they had to "suspend their disbelief" and take a leap of faith to get to the next level.

Einstein once said that "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them".
